Young Ambassadors at Sports Dinner

Each year Action for Children hosts a Sports Dinner in Glasgow featuring celebrities, invited guests, and of course Action for Children’s Young Ambassadors.

This popular event has run since 2003, and has features sporting legends such as Frank Bruno MBE, Mark Hateley, Frank McAvennie, Craig Brown, Steve Davis & Joe Calzaghe.

This year we were off to the Hilton Hotel where the event was hosted by Peter Martin and the special guest speaker was Sir AP McCoy. And it was brilliant to see two of Action for Children’s Young Ambassadors in attendance too!

Craig and Sidi represented our Young Ambassador programme, with Craig braving the crowds to stand up at the front and talk about his personal journey with Action for Children, and the important impact Action for Children has had on him.

For Sidi, this was her first Ambassador experience, and she had a great time!

"I really enjoyed it! It was a good experience. I was in the finance room for most of the night helping count the money. Even though I was behind the scenes I felt like a valued team member. I felt the night was a success and I felt needed and appreciated at all times."

Sidi, Young Ambassador

Well done to Sidi and Craig!
